Thailand Mystery Men Quiz

I’ve been off work for the past ten days or so with an injured knee and that has given me plenty of free time on the internet. A couple of days ago I discovered a great web site with an excellent photo tool.

The site is called called WriteOnIt and with its neat photo tool you can create a magazine cover, a photomontage, online cards and place your face on a celebrity body to make a fun photograph. I then hit on the idea of putting together a Thailand mystery men quiz.

Below there are five ‘hole in the wall’ photographs and each mystery person is either Thai or has a connection to Thailand. All you have to do is name the five faces in the pictures.

………………………………………………………………………………………………..

I think the answers are quite easy but then again that’s because I know them.

To help you here are five clues but they are not in any particular order and they may confuse you even more.

You can also click on any of the photographs to enlarge them.

  • You may need to iron the trees to get this one
  • You can’t see them but I bet he’s wearing red shoes
  • Step out the water and onto the beach
  • Alan Price’s The Jarrow Song lyrics  (1974)
  • A former red and once a devil

You can place your answers into the comment box in any particular order.

Whilst compiling the quiz I did notice something about two of the gentlemen in the top row of photos. The ones on the left and right. I think I may have discovered the secret to white skin and will soon become a hero and heart-throb for every bar girl in Thailand.

Looking at their pictures I came to the conclusion that if you rub enough skin whitening cream into your face then your face itself won’t lighten but your hands will. For proof, check out the photos. They’ve got lily white hands.

So to all you Thai ladies out there, here’s the secret to gaining white skin. A simple two-step formula to give you the whitest face in Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket or wherever.

  1. Squeeze a good amount of skin whitening cream on your face.
  2. Rub your face into your hands until all the cream has gone.

Don’t mention it girls, my pleasure.

I’m not very good at these but I’ll give three a shot: Dicaprio, Thaksin, and Tiger Woods.

  2. Mike says:

Martyn I must be thick, I can’t get any from the photos but the clues suggest Brian Robson might be there along with the Thai PM.

Knowing you the man holding the gun might well be Thaksin?

  3. Mike says:

Sorry and how about Tiger Woods as Santa?

  4. Hi Martyn, I did try to work it out but then my head began to hurt. There is only one that even looks familiar to me. I’m sure I’ll kick myself when announce the results. I’ll have another look later.

  5. Talen says:

Martyn, While I know of the faces I won’t embarrass myself at seriously tryin. Who am I chiding…I just can’t get past Leonardo DiCaprio…swoon

  6. Martyn says:

Thanks for your replies to the quiz. It would seem it was harder than I originally thought.

The answers are, starting from top left and working clockwise:

Abhisit Vejjajiva – Thai PM – Jarrow Song = Geordie Boy

Bryan Robson – Thailand football manager – Former Manchester United Red Devil

Thaksin Shinawatra – Former Thai PM – Red shirts

Tiger Woods – Mother is Thai – Trees = Woods, Iron = Golf

Leonardo Di Caprio – Star of the movie The Beach

  7. Catherine says:

Ok, I squeezed in three out of five. Bryan Robson I would have never gotten but shame on me for not recognising the first one… Abhisit… the hairy head threw me off.

  8. Snap says:

Drats Martyn…I can’t see any comment or poll functions on your most recent Uni/Lady Boy post…just the post is visible. Perhaps it’s my browser, not sure?

  9. Martyn says:

Snap it must have been your browser, I had problems with the poll code wise but eventually it tested okay with Google Chrome and Firefox.

  10. Snap says:

Bugger…still can’t see. If I could comment I’d say that Ladyboys are wandering around in school/uni uniforms in Chiang Mai all the time. Perhaps unofficially.

  11. Martyn says:

Snap I’m not sure what’s happening with your browser and the post. The poll has received 25 votes so it must be working in most formats’

Ladyboys in school uniforms at Chiang Mai education institutions, whatever next. I always thought the city was beyond that kind of thing.
