Love Loei Coffee Shop in Phu Rua
I wouldn’t say I love coffee, tea is more to my taste but some of Thailand’s coffee shops are eye-catching enough to tempt me to sip a cup of black bean juice every now and then. Love Loei Coffee Shop in Phu Rua is one such place. It’s a beautiful looking and camera-ready pit stop on the highway running through Phu Rua.
Love Loei Coffee Shop has a striking, can’t miss it appearance. It’s one of Phu Rua’s popular selfie hot spots. The town’s giant temperature thermometer and colourful beach huts may outshoot it for self photographs, but for ‘beauty and a feast’, this charming coffee shop and restaurant with its floral surround must have launched a mountain of Instagrams and Facebook Likes.
The coffee shop is colourful, flower fuelled, and just far enough back from the highway to blanket any heavy traffic noise. Coffee’s served in all its usual types and the food menu is mainly Thai with a sprinkling of Western dishes too. Steaks being one of them, spaghetti another.
The garden area at Love Loei Coffee Shop is flowery and multicoloured. Phu Rua (boat mountain) is a big flower growing region and the coffee shop green lights that. If you can dodge the bees and keep a steady hand you’re guaranteed something for your memory book. Wonderful Wi added this one to her collection.
Wilai’s cousin, Mae, poses on a bicycle in this picture. The bike goes nowhere but the photographs will be pedalled around on a family and friends tour.
If the hat fits, wear it. Wilai poses Panama style against the coffee shop’s favourite photo backdrop. A large and bold black on white kilometre marker. Wi’s outfit adds a splash of colour to the picture.
A cup of black beans won’t knot too many purse strings at Love Loei Coffee Shop. Espresso, Cappuccino, Mocha and Latte all fall within a 30 – 50 baht price range. Basic Thai dishes won’t flutter too many hearts either at around 60 baht each and a Western style spaghetti bolognaise slides on the table at 129 baht. The coffee shop has ample seating inside and outside.

Just left Issan yesterday. Damn you and your interesting posts! 😉 Next year then!
Steven – The coffee shop is worth a visit but make sure your camera and mobile batteries are primed and ready.
Thanks! By the way, stayed two nights at The Irish Clock-great place and wonderful, helpful staff! Day&Night and Nutty Park were a blast. Hope to travel through there again.
