‘Probably not the easiest of places to find but well worth it when you do. A smart-looking cantina-style bar with a great menu, and prices that wouldn’t twitch a Mexican gunslinger’s trigger finger.
The food menu is long and lengthy – pizza, pasta, burgers, baguettes, ribs, kebabs, breakfasts, steaks and grill. Throw in its signature Tex-Mex food – fajitas, chilli con carne, enchiladas and more – and you can understand why Los Amigos is a very popular bar and restaurant in Udon Thani.
If you are hungry, thirsty or just plain lonely, Los Amigos is a great place to visit. You can even tether your horse outside. An ideal bar and restaurant for Young Guns and Old Hats.’

If you like your food servings big, Los Amigos Bar in Udon Thani is the perfect pie-in-the-sky place for you. Chew over the picture above.
Hosts Casper and Woun (pictured right), believe in piling food high and keeping prices low. Small wonder Los Amigos has an ever-growing reputation as one of the best bars and restaurants in Udon Thani. A large number of expats regularly swing through its bar saloon doors. Tourist visits are far fewer, but the right word is getting around.
An eight ball pool tournament on Wednesday nights puts plenty of sombreros on hooks. Friday hosts all you can eat Pizza Nights for 150 baht. There’s also live sport screened on a 50’’ TV and seating for 40 people.
The bar has a water feature (pictured above) with terrapins. There’s also a BBQ area which comes alive most Saturday nights, though the Terrapins don’t get an invite.
A deserted bar? Not really, there were customers seated by the water feature. Also, the afternoon was still very young – the lull before the storm. The American pool table is visible, and the sports shirts taped to the ceiling point to Los Amigos being an excellent local for sports fans. There’s plenty of drink spirits in view too – all reasonably priced.

Los Amigos Bar thoroughly merits its top three TripAdvisor ranking and is a place I highly recommend. Once you find it, I’m sure you will return because the Tex-Mex food is top drawer. Just don’t overeat, or your horse might not make it back to town.
