Be Cool Boutique Hotel – Once Found Never Forgotten

The Be Cool Boutique Hotel in Phu Rua, Loei Province, is not the easiest place to find but once found you’ll probably wish you’d booked to stay longer. Serene, relaxed and free-and-easy are good ways to describe a hotel boasting stylish rooms and a charming 360-degree picture postcard view.

If you want to party, karaoke, and get vocal you’d best book a hotel elsewhere. The newly renovated Be Cool Boutique is a laid-back, relax, and unwind type of accommodation. Overweight on style and privacy, threadbare on fireworks and hubbub.

The reception check-in was fast and easy. No-fuss, no problems, 1000 THB deposit.

Swimming pool Be Cool Boutique Phu Rua

Our room faced the hotel swimming pool and the far-reaching view was lush green and ambrosial, although the winter climate a wee chilly. Our two night December booking synced with Phu Rua’s crisp winter clime – cool early morning and evenings, hot and pleasant in the afternoons. It’s best to pack clothing in concert with the local weather forecast.

loei hotel room

No arguments about the room. A double bed in the main living area and a single bed above. A noteworthy design and a studio apartment in all but name.  Tea and coffee making facilities topped up the room’s impressive trappings. The whole enchilada good value at 1500 THB per night. Breakfast included.

The outside terrace area was basic but perfect too. Ideal for snacks and web browsing with a good bird’s-eye view of the swimming pool. And perfect for an early morning coffee despite the chilly air.

Be Cool Boutique breakfast

Breakfast was self-service and standard Thai hotel style. No complaints, there’s always something for someone. Plenty of seating inside and some in the outside garden area as well. I settled for eggs on toast and hot coffee. My partner went big-time Thai.

Summary & Map

In short, the Be Cool Boutique Hotel is an ideal place to stay in Phu Rua, Loei Province. Good value for money and our pool-side twin room was first-rate. All rooms have air-con. The hotel is set back from Phu Rua’s main drag but easily accessed by a short bank of steps near the breakfast room. The hotel has free Wi-Fi and ample car parking. No onsite shop, however, there is a convenience store close by.
