My Top 5 Favourite Posts
Most people like Top 5 posts. There’s so much variety to them. Top 5 favourite foods, actors, holiday destinations, songs, books and whatever, whoever and more, the topics are endless. So, what else to do? I’ve put together my Top 5 favourite Beyond the Mango Juice posts.
I do realise that one man’s favourite post is another man’s poison. For all that, I’d like to think one of the five posts would appeal to everyone.
I’ve added My three keywords at the bottom of each write-up to describe each entry as best I can – a clue to the content of each post. Also, I’ve included how many views each Top 5 entry had received at the time of writing this post.

5Nong Khai to Ban Na Nam Chum – Booze, Birds and Boats (2014)
A light-hearted look at a trip to Nong Khai that finished with two birds on the back seat of our Honda City car. I like the title, enjoyed the day trip, and the post still gets an occasional visitor. And every time I travel through Ban Na Nam Chum, I always think back to this day trip.

4Teak Wood Town – Chiang Khan in Loei Province (2014)
One of my more seriously written posts rather than my usual tongue in cheek look at life in Thailand. Chiang Khan’s one sweet-looking town and on the road to two favourite places of mine, Loei and Phu Rua. This one gives my views on Chiang Khan and where I hope it doesn’t end.

3100% Proof – Lao Khao is a Knockout Drink (2010)
This post is from 2010 and still gets big hits today. A very highly ranked story in most variations of ‘Lao Khao whiskey’ Google searches. A true story and one that does include each of the three keywords. Ten years on, and 100% Proof – Lao Khao is a Knockout Drink is still in the middle of the dancefloor. Amazing. One real evergreen post.

2 What is the Best Mixer Drink With Thai Lao Khao Whiskey? (2013)
This Top 5 list is starting to look bad. Another post about lao khao whiskey. This one looks into the best mixer drink to stifle and suffocate the appalling taste of lao khao. I had fun with the material input (lao khao) on this post and enjoyed writing it as well. This one doesn’t do too bad visitor wise.

1 Brilliantly Blue – Horse Racing in Udon Thani (2013)
My all-time favourite Beyond the Mango Juice post and one I wrote in an Udon Thani hotel at six in the morning. One-hour later it was completed. But since then, I’ve edited it so many times, but still can’t get it to where I want it to be. Nonetheless, for reasons unknown to me, it’s my favourite post. If you do read this one, I hope you enjoy it, but please understand it might read one or two words different next time. I hope not!

One thing I didn’t know but have learned from writing this post is number 1 & 2 in the list were written within seven days of each other. I think that’s amazing.
I hope you find one or two of my Top 5 posts that you enjoy.
